On Tuesday, March 7, 2023, Richard Butler and Joanna Vince will be presenting at the PDAC Conference.
Rich and Joanna will be presenting with Michael Jacobs from Cambium Indigenous Professional Services. Their presentation is titled - ESG: Cutting through the rhetoric and making it work for mines.
Michael S. Jacobs is the Chief Executive Officer for Cambium Indigenous Professional Services (CIPS) Inc. He is a proud Anishinaabe from the Curve Lake First Nation. With a career spanning over 30 years in the Indigenous consulting industry, Mike’s experience and leadership has been focused on developing and delivering management and advisory services for projects connected to Indigenous communities. Mike is a businessman with a strong ability to translate First Nation-related project objectives into realistic, attainable solutions for Indigenous and non-Indigenous clients. Mike works seamlessly with all levels of governments, leadership, staff and community members. His unique ability to translate the needs of all stakeholders into a language that is understood and relevant to a variety of audiences ensures that communications and information exchanges have value to all participants. Mike is honoured to be the Co-Chair for the Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business (CCAB) and brings a unique voice to this national organization for small and medium sized Indigenous owned businesses located on our Territories. Mike is also currently a Board member of Green Communities Canada and has served many terms on other for-profit and not for profit Boards. Mike has also been recently appointed to the Implementation Committee for the Canadian Sustainability Standards Board.
