On Monday, October 1, 2018, Richard Butler will be co-chairing and moderating the OBA Civil Litigation Law Program titled: Succeeding in Motions and Applications.

Litigation can often be simplified, focused or resolved with the effective use of motions.  Applications can be an efficient alternative to an action, or a direct line to judicial review of a dispute.  Both require the effective management of affidavit evidence and cross-examinations to build a robust, accurate and persuasive record for the court.  Both can result in unnecessary delay and cost if materials or preparations are found lacking.  Join this program to sharpen your understanding of these key tools of litigation, and hear from the bench on their insights into motion and application advocacy.
